A Useless Artist Entry

Well now. Every time I say I'll blog more often, I don't. Shame on me.

Here's what's up. Shortly after last blog, I was laid off for a while sometime in early May and didn't get back to work until somewhere in Fall of 2024... This means I had all the time to blog and I didn't.

Here's an update: I am back open for commissions (I was closed off from September 2024 until now). When I went back to work, I was too exhausted to do much including art, but I eventually got used to it.

I haven't done too much, but I am a little behind on uploading as usual. I do share on social media or occasionally stream. That's about it.

I also am pushing out when I will start taking oil pastel commissions. As for soft pastels, I kind of don't want to because during the progressing stage, the client will see some vibrant portrait until the very end where I spray it with fixative and possibly ruin it.

Speaking of soft pastels, here's a latest artwork of this beautiful finch. I still have yet to edit the scan and upload it to my website.

I also do need to give more attention to another side of my audience (For those of you who know, you know). I also have been a bit fixated on other things such as looking through my own photos since its been a hot minute that I've done self-portraits (I cannot decide what to do next), reading, studying demonology and all for more inspiration to feed into my lifelong art journey. There's also other things, but I'd rather not get into them.

Of course, just like many others, I'm not a self-employed person. Since late September, I have been back to working a full-time non-art job to contribute to the household, pay my own bills, and so forth. Will my art do this for me someday?  Who knows.  But hey, at least I have more freedom to do whatever I want with my work, and what I draw. I'd probably not have time to illustrate my own Zamasu tattoo I am hoping to get on my back by the end of the year if I only created for the hopes of "This will sell, right?"

That's it for my rambling. Hopefully, next entry will be something more useful for you all.
